Susan Ong is the Chief Marketing Officer of Gibraltar BSN Life Berhad since May 2017. She holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Dubuque, USA. She is also a Fellow of Life Office Management (FLMI).
Susan has more than 30 years of marketing experience in various industries including Information Technology, Direct Selling and Insurance. Over the years, Susan has held roles in public relations, public affairs, marketing communications, branding and sponsorship, product development and product marketing.
In Gibraltar BSN Life Berhad, Susan is responsible for Product Development, Product Marketing as well as Digital Marketing where she is responsible for delivering new products and propositions to support various distribution channels, and implementing digital initiatives to drive business growth and customer experience.
Prior to joining Gibraltar BSN Life Berhad, Susan spent three years at Allianz Malaysia latterly as the Chief Market Management Officer where her role included building the Allianz brand, advocating customer centricity, using research and insights to support strategic initiatives. Susan also established a strong Digital Marketing team that delivered innovative digital campaigns.
Susan started her insurance career at John Hancock Life Insurance Berhad in 1999 as the Corporate Communications Manager. John Hancock was later rebranded as Manulife Insurance Berhad. During her tenure there, Susan expanded her experience to include roles in Distribution, Distribution Administration and Operations.
