Lisa is Deputy Director Information Assurance and Cyber Security at the Government Communications Security Bureau. She is responsible for delivering technical advice and assistance to support New Zealand Government’s information assurance and cyber security priorities. This involves leading the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), cyber threat detection, response and mitigation, regulatory supervision of network security, and protection of critical information and infrastructure in the public and private sectors.
Lisa is a member of the senior leadership team of the GCSB, which provides strategic leadership of the organisation. In her previous role as Chief Legal Adviser, she was responsible for managing legal risk and ensuring lawful enabling systems. She has acted as General Counsel for the NZSIS and was most recently appointed as acting Director of the GCSB.
Prior to her time at GCSB, Lisa represented and advised the government on legal issues at Crown Law. She has a Master of Laws from the New York University School of Law.
