Dave Jackman is Manager Government ICT Common Capability in the Commercial Strategy and Delivery group at the Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, New Zealand. He’s charged with leading the delivery of Government ICT Common Capabilities to government agencies, on behalf of the Government Chief Information Officer. Government ICT Common Capabilities are a key component of the Government ICT Strategy and Action Plan to 2017, which aims to achieve a radical transformation of the way ICT is managed and delivered by government, to help achieve better public services for all New Zealanders.
Before joining Internal Affairs, Dave held senior public and private sector roles focusing on ICT solution delivery. Dave has worked in the industry for more than twenty-five years and is recognised as a respected ICT business professional. Dave has most recently worked with Microsoft as a senior consultant. He has also worked with financial institutions, security, utility, and defence organisations and held the role of Director IT for the Ministry of Social Development.
