Alastair Bor

Chief Technology Officer

Ecofibre

Next Appearing at:

Alastair joined Ecofibre in July 2018 as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) from Transport for NSW where he previously spent 6 years as Deputy Executive Director, Business Change and Solution Delivery.

At Ecofibre, Alastair is responsible for technology across an innovative and market-disruptive company that spans 3 continents and complies with complex and often conflicting legislation and regulation across more than 50 jurisdictions.

Prior to joining Ecofibre, Alastair drove the implementation and maturation of agile delivery at Transport for NSW. He transformed ‘agile’ at Transport from a process only used in hidden “skunk works” to a scaled approach which was successfully harnessed in the implementation of the Opal Card, Open Data, CRM, Real-Time Data and major Digital initiatives. This agile approach was also used in regulatory projects such as the implementation of the Point to Point Transport Commission where the disruptive rise of new business models led to the creation of the Point to Point Transport (Taxis and Hire Vehicles) Act 2016 which reformed an 80+ year old industry.

Prior to that Alastair held senior roles at funds management firm Perpetual and global consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton. He has a BA in Economics from Brandeis University and an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
