Regional VP of Sales for Asia / Talend Inc

As the Regional Vice President of Sales and first employee of Talend Inc., in Asia region, Calvin is the founder member of Talend Asia team in Singapore and he is responsible for formulating and managing the business strategies and sales activities. Calvin has a proven executive management track record and over 25 years of experience driving high growth in the enterprise software industry. A hand on and successful entrepreneur who have passion and determination to conquer the unknowns. Highly driven and performance-focused sales leader who build and lead the great sales teams from start-up to 80 staff. Calvin led the Asia sales team to win more than >16 new logos within the first year and hitting >40 new logos in 2nd. year operation and 3rd. year achieving >60 new logos. With such explosive growing momentum, he and his sales team have achieving >100% year over year in average for last 3 years at 3x much faster than the nearest established competitor in Asia across ASEAN, India and China.

Prior to joining Talend, Calvin was Head of alliance & channels sales for Cloudera in Asia Pacific region. A founding member of Cloudera Asia, responsible for all sales activities within Cloudera partner landscape which has helps Cloudera built a solid business foundation and partner ecosystems for first two years of their operation in Asia. Winning major accounts in large enterprises in BFSI and Telecom sector with sales revenue >US$3m in 6 quarters. Prior to Cloudera, Calvin held numerous leadership roles including General Manager for HP Enterprise Security in Asia growing from US$10m to US$30m. He was formerly from Sun Microsystems, regional sales director for services, South Asia, instrumental on growing highly profitable services business from $1m to $88m in 9 years. He holds B.A. (Hons) Economics degree and a green belt certified in Six Sigma and IT Service Management (ITIL) foundation.
